Svein Mo
I have a Buick 1938 Century. Need to replace exhaust manifold as it has a crack. The manifold consists of 3 parts, front, center and rear. https://oldbuickparts.com/ sells all the parts, and the same for rear and front for the years 1936-1952. However for the center part of the exhaust manifold it is at https://oldbuickparts.com/ different parts for 1937-1938 and 1939-1952. Was really the center part different on 1937-1938 than 1939-1952? Does anybody have the part list history showing any historical part number? My center exhaust part is stamped with 1298244. Thanks in advance. Oldtech
If its like the Roadmaster i work on the exhaust pipe angle is different between 37 and 40. It will fit but you have to modify/bend the pipe.
EmTee
I suspect the choke stove may also be different, as i believe '38 was a one-year choke design.
Svein Mo
Thanks. Does anybody have the part list for Buick 320 engine from 1936 to 1953, and can see what the part number is for center part of exhaust manifold in 1938 and if it is different from 1939 and later?
