Friartuck
I'm planning on attending a National meet for the first time with a four wheel vehicle. The judging form states that a fire extinguisher is required with these ratings: "Type 10-B:C or 2 1/2 Lb Dry Chemical or Halon or 10 Lb Carbon Dioxide." My question is with the newer Halotron, which functionally replaces Halon 1211 (for environmental reasons), is it recognized by AACA and acceptable at National shows? Can anyone quote where it can be used or am I kidding myself for trying?
Ron Green
I bought one of these at this past AACA Annual Convention. It seems so small as compared to a regular fire extingusher. I received paperwork with it stating that it was approved by the AACA of which I hope I still have. I am planning on using it at the AACA Carlisle Spring Meet next week. I will let you know how I make out.
Dynaflash8
I bought one also. Not only is it small, it is light. I hope to get one for each of my antique cars as I go along. They are being sold by the AACA Museum for $20 each I think. It is really a neat item.
