48BuickRoadConv
I have 48 Roadmaster that has been partially disassembled. The car came with two sheet metal, which I'm not sure if they belong to this car, in fact there were many other parts that I'm sure don't belong. You could imagine a bigger sheet metal under the car somewhere near the radiator, but I just don't understand exactly how? And you can't get it there without removing the bumper, fenders, etc.? Maybe a smaller sheet at the back of the car under the bumper, or at the front as well? A picture would help if someone would care to post one? thanks Timo
Dan O
I have a '49 so I may be wrong but the larger piece looks like my gravel shield that fits in front of the radiator and behind the grill. Mine has the same indentations pressed into the sheet metal. The smaller piece looks like a bumper filler as you stated.
Ben Bruce aka First Born
Dan O is correct on where the larger piece GOES. I believe it is intended to direct more air flow through the radiator. The other piece , I think, is indeed a "filler " , installed between the back bumper and the body. Ben
