Rod Miles
In re-building my 28 Buick Standard, I'm assembling much of the car that had been previously dis-assembled by the previous owner. Question on the speedometer connection... Is there an adaptor that connects the speedometer outlet, round, to the drive cable which is square? Been looking through my spare parts and see nothing. Thanks! Rod Miles Member 48784
Oregon Desert model 45
Looking at a 28 speedo that I have, it appears the .500 dia cable end just plugs into the socket in the speedo. There is a flat clip with hole that fastens it to the stud on the speedo.
Rod Miles
I do have that flat clip and nut to secure it to the speedo. I'll take it all out and try again. Thanks for the in-put, Oregon Desert. I'm in Eugene by the way. Rod
Rod Miles
Thanks, Oregon Desert. Took my time and was able to engage the cable to the speedo and use the mounting flat clip. All appears fine.
