AMT 64 Mercury

This is a original 64 model that came from a thrift store and was missing the engine and a tire, yesterday I was at a model swap meet and picked up a correct engine and will see what rims and tires I have that will look good on it.  Need something to do while paint and glue are drying on the 34 and 36,not going to touch the paint but might paint the top white.

The convertible was never reissued but the hardtop is readily available.

I’m surprised you moved up to the 1960s era car.  It looks like a good find.  I’ve never seen a model car swap meet advertised for my area.  There was a train meet here in Lancaster PA this last weekend but that’s about it.

I have a bunch more 60s models that was found at a thrift store.

I drug out a 66 Mercury I was getting parts for but the 66 Galaxie chassis has the wrong wheelbase so I found a 66 Galaxie that had a messed up chassis so its going togather while I find a correct chassis for the Merc.

It's back together and top has been repainted white .
