Nuno
Hello Maybe You can help me: What type of switch should I use to replace the original one on a 1926 Dodge Brothers Special Touring? Mine is no longer possible to repair. Thank you in advance, Nuno
28 Chrysler
This is a 1926 Chrysler dash, you may be able to do something with one of these. Notice this one has been changed, it should have a black face.
Nuno
Thank You. Where can I buy one of this?
Fordy
Briggs and Stratton made a lot of these switches. Surprisingly the back of a 1950 English Ford Prefect one will fit and work on My 1920's Hupmobiles. A little bit of thought and fiddling around and almost anything can be repaired.

Mark Gregush
If I understand correctly, you are in Australia with righthand drive? If so, are you running magneto or distributor? That might make a difference which switch you need.
Nuno
Hi, I'm exactly on the other side of the planet, in Portugal, Europe. Here, at the beginning of the 20th century, many cars had right-hand drive. This one has a distributor,
Mark Gregush
What is wrong with the one you have? From another post, that style is not real common anyway. If it is like the earlier ones after you take it out, you should be able to remove the back and take a look at what is going on with it. It might have 3 tabs that will need to be bent up or 3 pins. The 3 pin type, push down on the back and turn. (Don't forget to disconnect the battery first) You might want to also post down in the Dodge Brothers section.
