Old style folding hood. Not Model A or T...

I am familiar with Model A and T hoods.    I don't recognize this one.

Has a distinct  brace under the center hinge that I have not seen before. That may ID it...

It is roughly the size of a Model A hood.

It has an embossed line just above the side hinge, on the top panels...

Hupmobile 6cyl.????

My 1926 A Hupp has 26 louvres - that one I count 18. Not Hupmobile on that basis unless its later model years.

Essex for 1928  has a character bead on upper hood panel.

the hood hold down brackets have a rubber bumper just below hook point, which this appears to have.

How ever Essex has 21 louvers in 1928...................

The upper hood brace under hinge is not Essex, likely a later add on.
