Y-JobFan
As usual the easy stuff ends up being the hardest, Got to the sensor bracket and went to remove it and the positioning tab broke off, took me an hour to get that little piece off lol. Tried tapping it, using vice grips to wiggle it, finally used a socket and socket extension to tap that little tab with a hammer and got it to move, then tapped a socket on it and was able to loosen it enough to work it off. BTW, using the starter as suggested to loosen the bolt holding on the harmonic balancer pulley worked flawlessly. Ronnie
Your car has more corrosion on it than I expected. Do you drive it on the beach or live where salt is in the air?
Y-JobFan
Salt air and it gets driven to the beach(not on the beach) , this is my 90 Coupe which is a driver and it has been a coast car all it's life, overall the rest of the underside is pretty clean though
2seater
Yah, that little stinker has caused more cussing than any other part of the job. I suppose it does aid in line up but if it were just a nub and not extend all the way through, life would be better. I have cut a couple of them off in the past but that was with the engine on a stand, and I remembered to do it🙃
