Rick Blue
Looking for 7/16 20 brass studs for 1931 Lincoln V8. I have found the nuts but can’t find the studs.
Bob McAnlis
Are they really brass? What are their purpose?
46 woodie
As Bob ask's, what are they for? If they aren't a special tensile strength, can you fabricate them yourself? Purchase a length of brass rod and a 7/16-20 die from McMaster-Carr and give it a try. If you're not able to do it yourself, any machine shop can fab them for you.

I am curious why brass was used; perhaps I might learn something. I have seen brass nuts used on exhaust manifold studs to defeat long-term corrosion, but in that application, the studs themselves were steel. If your studs are truly brass, and we can understand why brass was used, we might identify a suitable substitute. I agree that brass studs would be rather easy to fabricate from brass rod. Well, hate to say it. I put one that had snapped off( not by me) cleaned it and it is not brass. Never mind. Thanks for the answers.
