headlight lens

Hello,

      My books do not show Spreadlight lens, this is a Part #  L-196  Dim. 8 X 7 1/16"  Serial # 631856  McKEE Glass Co. Jeannette PA

Has my best guess for the notch degree positions at 0-90-130-210-240-270 just a guess,  see pics  let me know if anyone has info on this Spreadlight and thanks as always

From an 20's era accessory spot light, either automobile or marine.

Thanks I know its 20’s to start 30’s being Flat glass but looking for book that tells exact car or marine Interesting on the Marine spot light never heard that before very Interesting Thanks for input

Spreadlight lenses were were standard equipment on some automobile headlights.

For example, 1926-27 Model A (six cylinder) Hupmobiles had Spreadlight lenses in the factory-equipped headlights.  I can't tell you what size, however.

My Series R Hupps use the Spreadlight lens (1923 & 24). I have a book somewhere that details what one but cannot for the life of me find it! I also have one that fits embossed with the Essex logo. I will go on a search mission later, but they look the same.

I saw the essex ones that had name on them but all lens I found did not have all those notch positions all around, hopefully you find the book. Thanks for both inputs.
