Canadian Reattas

Recommended Posts

I have some info on 1988, 1990, and 1991 but nothing on 1989 Canadian cars.

Some time Canada required daytime running light, the 1990 has them but don't know if the 1989 did. Looks like all Canadian cars had engine block heaters.

If you own or know of a 1989 Reatta built for Canada, I would like to get the code numbers from the service parts label in the trunk.

Barney;

My now sold first Reatta was an 89 "Canadian" car. It did not have daytime running lights.

Max a friend has an 88 "Canadian" Reatta I could ask him if you have an interest in it.

Thanks Tim, that helps......

None of this is official but looking at 1988, 89, 90, and '91 service parts labels, cars built for Canada had the following.....

K05 = engine block heater..seems to be standard for all years.

V97 = Vehicle prep export

Z31 = I can not identify this code but it appears on all Canadian cars

Z49 = Export Canada Modif Mandantory Base Equipment (this may be a code that adds the standard items like the engine block heater and/or anything else required for Canada)

AN4 = Restraint-provision child (does not appear on 1988 examples I have)but does on 1989 and later.

T61 = Daytime running lights, appears they became standard in 1990

ONA = Unknown, but appears on '88, '89 Canadian cars

RK7 = Control, sales item (marketing or promotion code)

X05 = Unknown (on 1989 car)

X06 = Unknown (on 1988 car)

There may be others......

Z31 Preliminary Invoice, no cost

from the Firehawk List.

X05 - Sales processing option 14

Z31 - advance price sheet

- Corvette RPOs

X05 MOULDINGS, BRIGHT

Fiero Club

Note: I also have 31 pages of RPO listings in the 88 "E" P&A (not in the 93) and 84 pages in the 88 "P". None of these are listed. Keep in mind that "build codes" (on stickers) do not always match RPO and LPO codes (Regular Production Option and Limited Production Option). And then there are COPO (Corporate Office Production Order) codes. And don't forget, it's a SPID <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Padgett, some of these codes are duplicated, for a couple of years, I have had everyone looking for X22, a code that only appears on 1988 Select Sixty cars. We cannot find one that is applicable.

Tim Harris.....I played with the Canadian information today, 89 outside so who wants to sit at the computer....

I see one small error (I think) that probably answers the next question.

You have D85 listed twice, the second one should be D60 meaning the interior/exterior combination is not on the order form. Since you exterior is bright red, what is your interior color....for some reason I don't have code 82 listed, my guess is it is red (burgundy)

When they made the Reatta match the Cdn Gov't regulation for "Daytime Runing Lights" , they seem to have built in a separate little program for those of us who travel in Cda and the U.S. of A. When I have the instrument panel running in the metric mode, Kilometers,Celcius temps. etc, the fog lights come on as my 'runing lights' However, when I push the little button to convert to miles, Fahrenheit etc. the fog lights do not come on and I seem to be in the "American Mode'. Strange --- but true !! I'll even demonstate at Flint in necessary.

This week the 'Black Beast' comes out of storage for brake 'test & flush' and then a possible leisurely trip to Florida and back. This car is for driving & driving, not for just looking great !!!
