Turn arrow for a?

Found this in a box that was buried.  Only the one so far.  Any ideas on what years or make this went to? Or if it was generic and multi make/model fit?  Only writing says "turn signal" and "pat pend".  Thanks

I think aftermarket. Usually found on trucks, top fender mounted.

Front right, the rears were red.

Sold as mainly as a safety upgrade for trucks, late 1930s to about 1950 before the DOT mandated turn signals to manufacturers.
