63 RIV MOE
(63 Riviera) Having a hell-of-a time putting in new rubber from Steele. The original quarter window w-strips have a metal strip molded in to make them easy to install. New ones have no backing. Lots of Dawn used. Got one in, but had to cut one of the little channels deeper so it would finally , slowly go in. Anyone have this issue? Or am I getting too old for this sh*t? 😉 Still got one more to do. 60FlatTop
I didn't like the trimming at the top of the repop quarter window strips. I ended up finding a pair of 1967 Cadillac SDV strips that were not too sun cooked. They had the metal strip and looked great. Next time I have the rear seat out am going to fish them out of the quarter panels and find some better adhesive. This May will mark 45 years I have owned it and can't really remember driving it with the windows up or driving in the rail.
telriv
Get the correct ones from RestoParts. They have the correct steel inserts & slide right in with spray silicone. Tom T.
