Not many of these made. In 1955 Buick sold 738,814 cars, of which only 2,925 of the Estate Wagons were sold. A very low production number. The body tag says "Body by Ionia" instead of the usual "Body by Fisher." This is because Buick farmed out the bodies to be produced by Ionia then after produced, the bodies were shipped back to GM to be completed. This car runs, drives, and stops. Has power steering and power brakes, automatic transmission. Solid floors, good tires, doors all close sold. Windows work well. Couple of windows have cracks, chrome all there but has pitting. Has the 264cu Fireball V8. Has dual exhaust which sounds nice. Asking $12,500 or best offer. All reasonable offers will be considered. Description from Facebook: 1955 Buick Special Wagon FOR SALE ….1955 Buick Special Wagon … runs and drives, dual exhaust, power brakes, power steering, clean her up and you got a great run wagon to hit the beach. The 55er
Wagon was originally all dark gray in color. It's two-toned now and since the odometer has turned over and it's in the northeast rust belt I'd assume there's been some rust repair in that lower brown area. The left rear quarter is wavy and something's definitely been "fixed" in the lower quarter behind the right rear wheel in the last picture. Pitted chrome, missing seat skirts and the whole car just has a tired, worn-out, stale look to it right down to the tires. And it must have looked like that before it was parked in the proverbial barn..........The original $7K price tag was much more realistic IMO. It just needs too much work to be a nice wagon.

Jolly_John
Absolutely tasteless choice for the new tires the first flipper added (in my opinion, of course). John
The 55er
This wagon just seems to keep turning up like a bad penny. Some vehicles, well, for whatever reason, they just kinda leave a bad taste in your mouth. There are so many flaws, mis-matched pieces, missing parts and quick half-a__ repairs done to this car that I wish it would just go away. I'm done now as it would be pointless to make any further comments on this over-priced bucket of bolts as the pictures almost nit-pick themselves. 2
