1940 buick roof mount antenna removal

Hi,  on the inside there is a chrome ring with 2 small screws.  Remove the chrome ring.  Very gently move the head liner, if it is the original, the fabric will crumble in your hand.  There will be a clip which connects the antenna wire from the radio.  Disconnect this wire.  There will be a threaded tube visible.  There is a large nut holding the tube to the roof.  You will need two people.  One on the outside holding the outside part of the tube and a  person inside the car trying to get the ring nut off.   Good luck.

If you have any more questions on your Buick, you maybe better posting in the Buick section of the forum.
