Trulyvintage
I recently put another enclosed car hauler trailer into use. Instead of a 12K Harbor Freight winch I thought I would try something different. I am very pleased with this winch. The gearing is low which means the line speed is slow which is perfect for loading & unloading. There is 50 feet of synthetic rope which is enough for a 24 foot trailer. The wireless remote has an effective range of at least 35 feet - it has an automatic shut off. I have used it to load & unload two 4500 pound vehicles without issue. @ https://www.amazon.com/Tyrannosaurus-Electric-Synthetic-Wireless-Mounting/dp/B0885RYM23/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?adgrpid=63942877163&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI24eAo9mR-QIVimxvBB2i-QaqEAAYASAAEgIpA_D_BwE&hvadid=321620188010&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9030722&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=14975133706041214011&hvtargid=kwd-759885566792&hydadcr=19196_9708007&keywords=5000+lb+winch+synthetic+rope&qid=1658671622&sr=8-3 Jim
MochetVelo
What is the advantage of synthetic rope over wire rope?
Trulyvintage
Synthetic rope won't damage the undercarriage of a vehicle if you don't use a nylon sling to clear the vehicle - it won't kink and mess up your winch spool while pulling - it won't scratch up your trailer floor .... I am really happy with this winch - I have used it to load and unload several vehicles weighing more than 4000 pounds with no issues .... The wireless remote requires you press the " On " & " Off " buttons together to tutn it on or off and has an automatic off if you forget to leave it on. Use it once and you'll be sold on it. light weight and no stray wires to poke hands or gloves its just great all around. And its 1.5 times stronger than wire rope.
Robert G. Smits
Thanks to all who responded. You have convinced me. This is for my small 20 ft enclosed trailer used to haul small cars and I think 7-8 thousand load capacity should be fine I really like the idea of remote control. Have a happy safe 4th bob
