1959 Cadillac 4 door Flat Top Series 62
Several years in drydock. Abused/neglected by previous owner.
Restoration project:
Running but not road-worthy.
Engine/trans okay
Cosmetically rough, inside and out.
Some resto parts bought.
'59 Cadillac factory repair manual.
Upgrades done:
Alternator
Dual reservoir master cylinder
Pertronics unit replacing points
Rebuilt Carb

Somebody looked at this poor Cadillac and thought "This old girl is just crying out for an alternator, an electronic ignition, and a dual master cylinder!"

I have no idea. They could have fixed one rust hole with that money, and the car would be better for it.

A four window Sedan de Ville, that brings back some good memories. When I was in fifth grade, (back in 1964-65) I used to walk to school past two Cadillacs, a '59 like this one and a '60 Coupe de Ville parked at the curb. I would gaze inside enthralled by the chrome plated dash board and controls and the fancy cloth interiors. I would run my finger tip along the chrome trim of the tail fin.  These cars made a long time Cadillac fan, and I have owned numerous examples. "59 Cadillacs  are really something else, at once an Icon and at the same time a cliche. Anybody remember the TV show Banachek? I know that the idea would offend many out there, but I'd drive this just the way it is.

1960 Cadillac Flat Top - $3,500 (Kelso)

Up for sale is my 1960 Cadillac Flat Top, car has a locked up 390 in it but it comes with a 1956 365 (should be a direct swap). Car has been sitting for some time but is mostly complete and very rust free. No Title. This car was never a police car some guy just painted it that way to slow the traffic down in his small town in eastern Washington. I would prefer interested parties come take a look at this car in person as I do not enjoy wasting my time answering a million questions over the phone for the tire kickers!
