Xander Wildeisen
That car would look really good with 1956 New Yorker/300 tail lights. I always thought the tail lights looked like red dixie plastic cups. I do like these cars, sold my 55 years ago.
bryankazmer
polyester upholstery not a plus. Tri-tone vinyl was original, I believe.

Rivguy
If the mechanicals were squared away I'd drive that thing everyday! Great color combo.

Xander Wildeisen
I found a 55 on the internet that I keep looking at. Then I tell myself no. Not surprised this 56 found a new home. 55-56 Desoto’s are over looked. Nice cars.
Rivguy
I know that this is mostly a wishin' and dreamin' thread, but it does display a wider variety of cars than I might previously have an interest in. I found this De Soto very appealing. The styling is much cleaner than the '56 Caddy and is sleeker than the usual TRi Five Chevy. Usually I'm a Cadillac or Buick Riviera fan. I still have to move a couple of cars before I get serious about getting an older car. I'm learning a lot here.
