billbuickgs
What is everyone using for a battery in a 55 Buick . It looks like the battery is about 6 " to 6 1/2 " wide and 12" to 12 1/2 " long . I have a battery from AAA in the car that is smaller 6"x 10 1/2 " and that took a crap . Not looking for SHOW correct just close so top frame will work . avgwarhawk
Battery number is 3ET or 3EH. 3EH is taller but has more CCA if I remember correctly. Edited June 26, 2022 by avgwarhawk (see edit history)
Frank DuVal
Isn't a '55 a group 60 battery? That sounds like the dimensions of 6.5 x 12. https://www.batteryequivalents.com/bci-battery-group-size-chart.html
old-tank
I use group 31 in my 55's. Fit the tray and stock hold down is perfect. It is a little higher and some of the hold down bolts are too short (easily fixed). This is what I use. Search part number 31p30 in Advance, otherwise it will not show up.. Same with google search which brings up marine, agm, deep cycle... 3
