Correct color for rocker cover: 1952-‘53 Special

I have seen the blue-green and I have seen black. Mine seem to have been black from the factory.

I understand that the black ones were for replacement engines.

Turquoise Is correct.  I think the black was primer or perhaps left over from the war time replacement engines.  I have seen many, several of my own with turquoise over the black .

I had assumed before I started in on this project that they would be the turquoise, but I have seen repaints that had a black cover and the three I have show no evidence of having had anything but black, even in protected areas such as at the firewall end. I certainly think they look better completely done up in the turquoise.
