dalef62
We are working through our fathers estate and Saturday I was able to bring my new toy home. Dad had owned it since 1968 and it is mostly original, with some touch up on the paint. The interior needs some TLC, as does the suspension as there are plenty of squeaks and rattles. It has the original V12 and 3 speed with overdrive(inoperable at this time). I will address the suspension and running gear, then enjoy the heck out of it! I had never driven it till Saturday to bring it home, in fact I had never even started it till last week, I had tried, but couldn't get it to run. It is a bittersweet moment, I love the car, but I miss my father. In order to make more room for it I sold a Crosley, my 1951 Crosley Station wagon today. I had made it into a delivery wagon by filling in the rear side windows. It has the rare one piece bakers door also it has gone to a Crosley collector in Ohio. Now to find time to enjoy the hobby!
Steve_Mack_CT
Dale, enjoy the Lincoln, surely the connection with your dad is priceless, but quite a cool looking car on it's own merit. Very cool cars and still keep coming back in my head as a possible next car.
car crazy
Sympathies to you on the loss of your Dad. What a great car to remember him by. I had an original '41 Continental coupe I sold recently- they are truly beautiful cars. Hope you have many enjoyable miles with her.
