I had a manual Underwood typewriter made in 1950 restored there many many years ago. Their business ( still in the same family) has been around since 1932. Actor Tom Hanks collects manual typewriters and has his work done there too. If all of you who start a topic/tread would PLEASE note your location it may help - reading the plea doesn't let us know if you are in Boston, Mass. or Bavaria in Europe. I will no longer bother trying to help anyone on any question or plea who does not think first before typing and let us all know a bit more about where you are so we can indeed help.
