Hey There,

I'm interested in this car.  It's on E Bay but I'm not sure it's a real Grand Sport.

The Vin is 494475H931999 or so I'm told.  Trying to get a picture of the Vin Plate.  Build Plate number is as follows.

O4B

ST-65-49447 FB170962

TR 628 ZZ

EXT-2K-3T-4F-5KW

Here is the EBay Link :https://www.ebay.com/itm/234312360668?hash=item368e1ae2dc%3Ag%3AbUAAAOSwZ2VhpSZf&LH_ItemCondition=3000|1000|2500

Thanks Guy's

It is a scam ad, car sold on BAT for $80k+ recently.  And it is Gran Sport, Buick didn't use Grand Sport, Corvette did.  😀

That $84k sale occurred in May, 2018. Funny; the VIN on the eBay car is only 4 numbers "later" than the BaT car.

Are you certain this eBay listing was a scam sale?

I agree; it really smells fishy!

Yes, I am certain it was a scam.

Gran Sport was an option (A9) just like power seats or air conditioning.  There is nothing on the VIN or on the data plate that identifies a 1965 Riviera as a Gran Sport.  There are certain things that enable you to identify a Gran Sport, but you need to get your hands dirty and get on your belly to figure it out.
