Brad30
I need to add an electric fuewl pump to my 51 Buick. Should this pump be close to the fuel tank or can it be under the hood ?? It will be on just for start up then turned off until the next cold start.
edinmass
Back by the tank. Do not run the power of the ignition switch, it draws too many amps and will under volt your coil. Hard pipe it in, NO RUBBER..........use a momentary switch that shuts off when you release it. That way it can't get left on by accident. Installing a pump correctly is a lot of work. Don't use a Chinese junk unit. Get a Carter six volt pump. Ed 5
