Chuck Griffin
I’m trying to find information on part numbers I need for my 1940 Buick Super. It has the smaller straight 8. Looking for tune up parts, plugs, points, condenser, cap and rotor.

pont35cpe
Try to find an original Delco cap, firing order numbers are on it, aftermarket caps don`t. The other thing that causes problems is the breaker plate pivots, 3 ball bearings. Groove in distributor housing gets worn/dirty and binds up movement for the vac. advance to operate smoothly.
