Shawn Miller
Ha HA very funny dont think we are in the right era there, and even in the right era, cars that have been changed into utility vehicles don't qualify. beleive it or not there were packards and such that were rebodied into tow trucks and pick ups at the dealer, for use around the lot and such, when they hadn't sold. Guest Reatta1
Shawn,Actualy this started out as a 2 dr hrdtp, became what you see (result of collision) and is now a convertible.Jimps. feel free to move it to the BCA if you want. I know it is way off topic here. Just couldn't resist.
DizzyDale
Where is Pete Hartmann when you need him? This guy needs a lesson in the CLASSICS or is it, he needs to be taught a CLASSIC lesson.diz
The Old Guy
If you will go to :www.classiccarclub.org/carlist.htm , you will see what is acceptable to the CCCA. They accept NO vehicle newer that 1948 and are VERY FUSSY even then. The word Classic is one of the most missused words in the old car dictionary. You always hear about the "classic" 57 Chevs and the like. This is all wishful thinking. The only Buicks recognized by the CCCA are the 90 series from 1931 to 1942
Smartin
That was a lesson...Reatta1, how do you feel after that? Your story about the hardtop/truck/convertible is very interesting. It may not be a classic, but it's definitely something to remember Adam

tyesac
What is it? OBVIOUSLY, it's a rolling collection of parts to restore the front half of a 66 LeSabre! Or, in other words, a"parts car/flat bed wannabe" LOL! Makes me wonder if anybody's ever tried to take a '68 - '72 Skylarkand merge it into a Skylark/El Camino? 68 lesabre4dr
What a shame! When i was a kid my dad told me in the garage, " many men own cars, but only a choice few take care of them" . The older i got the more i believed it! Bruce
Guest Reatta1
Smartin, I am properly chastised. Peter Hartman probably could have done it better and wordier though.Dizzy, Old Guy, the whole post was and no intention to ruffle any 'Classic' owners feathers. For the complete story see the thread in BCA forum about turning a 2dr hrdtp into a convertible. I've had this car a lot of years and am as married to it as I am my wife. It is my 'classic', outside of the strict definition of course . Guest my3buicks
I'm glad you cleared that up for those that didn't read the original remarks on the car. It is amazing how quick some can be to rush to judgement.
86 2dr.ltd
Skylark ElCamino right on the owners cars page.http://www.buickclub.org/MemberGallery/X-Camino_Picture.jpgIf cars prior to 48 are classic thank goodness cars from the 60's arent then. Definantly not in the same league.Classic -Belonging in a certain catagory of excellence ; having a lasting artistical worth.I'd say you've got both . A certain catagory of excellence and lasting artistical worth.
