Mystery four cylinder engine

This one is in New Zealand. I know nothing about it, just passing on the photos.

No dimensions unfortunately, the only clue is the Lucas magneto.

I think it is a two stroke maybe??

I believe the owner does not have a computer so any questions may take some time to be replied to.

1900-1910's 2 stroke inboard boat ("launch") motor.

These engines typically had flanged and bolt-together crankshafts and cases so you could add as many in-line cylinders to an engine as you wanted! That unique piping on the mag and carburettor side is probably a major identifier---to someone....

You would probably have more luck on the "mystery engines" discussion board on the Smokstak old engine site!
