JamesR
Great original looking condition, and a great price if the car is as good as the ad makes it seem.
58L-Y8
JamesR: Good likelihood this one is genuine, Champion sedans were bought by careful conservative folks who took good care of their cars, kept them for years. Only the automatic transmission seems out of character, though that may have been because its original purchaser was poor at gear shifting. In the used car market, these Champions were dirty cheap, typically were bought by folks who drove them into the ground. Very few of these '53-'58 Champion sedans are or have been restored, even among Studebaker Drivers Club members, few have them and examples rarely appear at SDC meets or shows.
Jim Skelly
that's a pretty picnic basket, but why not show pictures of the front and back seat?
