mobileparts
Known to have an advanced stage of dementia for the last few years, TOM SEAVER passed away yesterday..... He had already withdrawn from all public appearances.... He passed away with his family in California.... As a Mets and White Sox fan, I got to enjoy his immense talents three (3) times..... And on August 4th, 1985, I sat right behind the White Sox dugout at the Old Yankee Stadium to watch # 41 Win # 300 !!!! Everything was *** 41 *** that day, as my White Sox won 4 - 1, Tom pitched a complete game that day, gave up 4 hits and 1 run, Struck out 4 and walked 1..... R.I.P. TOM, God Bless Nancy and the family......
Lebowski
He played for the Reds too which is my team. Besides his other accomplishments he also won 3 Cy Young Awards as the best pitcher in the league that year. Very few players have won 3 or more. On top of that he was a class act and a great role model for kids. RIP Tom and thanks for your contributions to Major League Baseball....
46 woodie
I was in the stands in 1970 when he struck out 19, including striking out 10 San Diego Padres in a row. Too bad some of Tom's professionalism didn't rub off on some of todays ball players.
greenie
One if the very best ever. His place in that great room in Cooperstown, NY is truly deserved. Condolences to his family.
