If the floors are solid and the engine is decent this would be a great car for someone to get into the hobby with.

You're on to my game!  Showing by example there are old cars that can be bought for reasonable money to get into the hobby.

If you have to do tires and brakes another 1500 or so.  Looks to be pretty rust free atleast and not a mouse house.  Chrome doesn't look too bad as well.

And for me, the best part is this car isn't another tri-five Chevy, Mustang or one of the countless other cars you see a lot of.

It would feel good to be the only DeSoto at your local show and shine.
