viv w
Good morning all, I'm looking for parts or pictures for my 26 touring. First item is the reinforcing brackets that hold the centre door pillar to the wood floor frame, see picture below. There would appear to have been one on each wooden upright, one I have highlighted in black , the other you can make out the rusty outline on the wood. . Second item I need is the 2 front seat riser reinforcing brackets. These are shown at the top left corner of the picture below. I also need to know the depth of the piece of wood at the front of the seat riser, what is the measurement from the bottom of the pan to the top of the piece of wood on the far left please. Also need pictures and measurements of the front seat frame wood work please. This is all that is left of my one. The body was Canadian built, any help will be appreciated, many thanks, Viv THIS IS AN UPDATE OF PROGRESS, STILL NEED PICTURES AND INFORMATION PLEASE. I have got this far with replacing the body wood, but need pictures of the rest of the front seat frame, the pillar braces, and I am still not sure if I got the front seat riser base correct. Has anyone got some pictures of their car interior woodwork please. ALSO LOOKING FOR PICTURES OR INFO ON THE AREA UNDER THE BACK SEAT BASE, MANY THANKS Edited June 7, 2020 by viv w Change title and updated (see edit history)
cricketkj26
Viv Is a Tourer the same thing as a Roadster or a Phaeton ? Cricket KJ
viv w
Hi Cricket a tourer is the same as a phaeton, a 4 door open car. The roadster may have used the same door pillar bracket and the front seat riser and under the seat pan may be the same or very similar. The body will be much like this picture below

Flivverking
I see your working on the body on the floor.. If at all possible when it is near final fit and assembly, try to do it mounted on the chassis frame with all body to frame bolts and any under welting and pads in place! The reason for this should be obvious. Frame level on horses or better on its axles and wheels . Looks like a great job so far!
viv w
Thanks Flivverking, I appreciate the advice and your interest. I am well aware of doing final assembly and fitting while having it all bolted to the frame. I made the mistake with a model 52 of doing it off the frame and nothing fitted or lined up, when it came to assembly. At the moment, with this lockdown, my frame is at the sandblasters, so busy making up what I can, following the remaining original wood. I have reached the point where I can go no further, until I can start assembly on the frame. Still looking for any pictures or measurements of the seat frame wood. If I cant find info soon, then I will just go by instinct and make something up. I think this body is possibly by Fisher and design must be pretty similar to a 29 Chevy phaeton I did a couple of years go. Take care Viv.
