ID help for early 40's sedan, please

An old classmate just posted a photo of some of her ancestors standing in front of a sedan...about 1941, I suspect. I wondered if I could ID the car, and noticed the horizontal ribs on the rear fender. I remembered Dodge cars having ribs like that in about 1941, and looked up some photos. But the tail lights are all wrong. I also tried Pontiac, DeSoto, Plymouth...no luck. I noted the long roof with trim on the beltline around the rear base of the roof, making this a large sedan designed for comfortable travel for multiple passengers too. 

 

I'm sure this one will be a piece of cake for the experts of the AACA forum, but my first guesses appear to be wrong. What is it, please?

Yes, but the rest of the photo merely shows three young ladies posing, and a barn in background. No other cars visible. Here is entire pic:
