Restoring a 1960 MGA 1600

20191121_153154.thumb.jpg.d3d1a02aa81dbbe248116c15752da3b4.jpgI am thinking about getting this barn find. I know there is a WHOLE lot of work to her but I'm hoping that with groups like this and the internet I can get her road worthy again. I'd hate to see her rot away to nothing. So, if able to I'll be asking a lot of questions and looking forward to beginning work soon. I'll let you all know if I can talk the old guy out of her.

Wish me luck! These are the only pictures I have so far.

Any updates?  If no luck on this one, there are a lot of these out there ready to be restored.

Hi

just completed similar , was going well till the sprayshop didn’t  finish it properly  skipped on finishing lower door frames cills and without asking coated underside with bitumen, may prevent any rust but hid all the good work and looked terrible. Although the finished car looked good want happy with it so cut my losses and sold it . Still wanted one so started another and taking much more control , obviously different spray shop!

few photos for the interested.
