*SOLD* Another rare '53 Buick--when was the last time you saw a Roadmaster convertible? 3318 were built and I'll bet they have a lower survival rate than Skylarks. This handsome code 60 Ridge Green 76C has been painted, chromed, upholstered, and carries a rebuilt engine, but it has never been completely disassembled. It was painted and you can see original paint on the firewall, and the finish is much deeper and richer than the original lacquer. Chrome and interior were renewed at the same time and look fantastic, and the engine was rebuilt and nicely detailed. No rust except an 8x8 patch on the floor behind the driver. Fit and finish are quite good, with doors that feel solid when they close. The interior is beautifully done in original colors and patterns, plus a black canvas convertible top, and options include power windows, top, and seat. The previous owner reports that he spent $4000 servicing the hydraulics, but after sitting for a while, the top cylinders aren't working. Windows and seat work but they move slowly--we changed the fluid from brake fluid to ATF because one of the lines was leaking and we didn't want to risk damage to the paint. The trunk is nicely finished and might be original, but it's hard to say, and includes a full-sizes spare. Rebuilt 322 inch Nailhead V8 with a 4-barrel carburetor provides entertaining performance and the Dynaflow is seamless, as advertised. The engine bay is well detailed and shows nicely, including new decals and tags as needed and correct hardware throughout. Super clean underneath save for the aforementioned patch. No issues in the rockers, clean trunk, even the spare tire well is unmarked. It's a strong runner that feels great going down the road, and there's impressive power at any speed. Sitting on fat 8.00-15 whitewalls, but like the woody next to it, this car would really pop with some chrome wire wheels and fresh radials.

Asking price is $64,900, which takes into account that the top isn't working. We may pursue it, although the top folds quite easily by hand since it's counterbalanced anyway. Runs and drives beautifully and you really don't see these very often. A great road car that shows very well. Thanks for looking!

When viewing a standout car like this I usually think and wonder about the original purchaser. What caused that person to order a car equiped like this? Of course I will never know for certain but this one is truly stunning in my opinion and the original purchaser had to have artist genes to come up with this.

Wish I could afford this one Matt.
