Guest
I need a handbrake lever spring for a Series 6-30B Pontiac. '29, '30 and '31 are the same as are '28-'30 Oakland.. The original part number from Group 4.065 is 552998. A spring or any lead would be appreciated. Thanks for looking. Thanks to 32Pontiac6 for the photos. Guest
Can't post a picture of mine as it broke into many pieces and I can not find them. Luckily none of them stuck into eyes or anything important. It is similar to this Chevrolet one except the short end is much shorter, in fact the small bend at the end is almost at 90 degrees and is right by the coil and only about 1/2 an inch long. The long end that goes inside the movable part of the handle is this exact shape but only about 2" long. I will try to get an actual picture from a friend. Guest
According to the Filling Station this is the Chev spring for 1931. It is a different shape and length and con not be modified to fit. I have tried.
