maok
Hi all, can any one identify these Delco Remy lovejoy shocks? I purchased them a few years back, the seller indicated that they were for a late '20s Chrysler models but I cannot see any obvious places they can bolt on to my '28 series 62 Chrysler sedan. The part numbers are, 822926, 822928, 822930, 822932. They seem to be matching pair of front and rears. The two brackets I am not sure if they are for the front or back shocks. Bolt holes measure approximately 5" apart.

Sasha39
Hi maok, What type of front axle do you have on your car, tube axle?

Your typical axle and chassis, I would imagine no different to your '29. There is no mention of shocks in the user manual.
Sasha39
Hey mate, By the look of the lug mounted on top of the axle I think you would be looking for a Watson stabilator type of shock, because of where the lug is you would have to mount it like it the 2nd photo. If you can't get a Watson type and looking at your photo I can't tell if there are two holes but the 3rd photo shows you how a Delco Remy Lovejoy Lever shock is mounted also photo 4 is the rear shock mounted see if you have two holes around that position on your chassis, hope this helps you. I check to see if I have some spare Delco shocks around the place if your interested and if you have the holes in the chassis to suit. Phillip Robinson
My pictures would be the same, so you do not need mine. Now, I needed a front shock for the Chef, and I bought a Chrysler shock that was the same type, size and same bolt position- except a small piece was cut out of the top plate, below that nut (1/8 in) , otherwise perfect. BUT, you might not have had shock absorbers if the manual does not have one, nor if there is no holes already drilled.
