1937hd45
My best deal this year was a pair of 1956 Ford pick up doors, the vendor next to me bailed out Thursday and paid me $10.00 to take them. Sold them for $10.00 on Saturday. One mans trash....................
R W Burgess
I was wondering why Bob had that pussycat smile on his face the whole time I was talking to him Friday. Wayne

Guest Hal Davis (MODEL A HAL)
I don't guess I can beat that deal, but my son got a good deal on a pair of hubcaps. My oldest son has a '88 Ranger with one odd hubcap. He saw a vendor Saturday morning with a pair of hubcaps matching his three. Being a little embarrassed to go ask the man what he wanted for them, he said "no, I'll pass." His little brother, who is only 10, went and asked the man. The fellow said "Do you have a need for them?" My 10 year old said "Yes sir." The man said "Well, here. Take 'em" We thanked him and went on our way. We didn't come out $20 to the good, but we did come out one pair of hubcaps to the good.
1937hd45
Hal, That is a far better deal than my truck door story. I started in the hobby when I was 10 years old, I make it a point to give kids car parts if they show some interest in them. Any day that you can make a kid happy is a good day. Peter J.Heizmann
Hi, Hal...hope all is well.Great experience your sons had. I don't think you can put a price on it. With everything that's going on in the world lately, it certainly is nice to hear of this scenario.Regards, Peter J. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" />
