1953 GMC Hydra-Matic
I have a 36 Dictator coupe and need to pull the phantom steering wheel so I can replace the column floor rubber . I have pulled steering wheels before but not one like this. I have searched the forum but didn't find any info. I would appreciate your help on the proper way to pull it off. Thanks, D. Spinneyhill
1936 shop manual says this: Taylormade made his own steering wheel puller for his 1932 Dodge. This is from p. 25 on his topic in the Dodge and Dodge Brothers forum:

nvonada
A big Harbor Freight bearing splitter makes a good start to a puller. I used that behind the wheel and a pitman arm puller hooked over the splitter to do the pulling.
