In my opinion the original metal could be stainless, but I’m not schooled on different types of metals and there finish. Both the metal and plastic have a brushed Stainless appearance to me. A buyer has s choice at two different price points. One gent pointed out in order for the dash plate to be original besides the plate being metal the original owner’s name is engraved on the placque and the font is the same as Buick used when the placque was purchased.
