ChristopheNormandy
Just arrived in France, she has a crazy success with my French compatriots! Almost nobody knows the Buick Riviera. People only know Mustangs !! Edited March 18, 2018 by ChristopheNormandy (see edit history)

Schmiddy
Bienvenue et salutation des environs de Berne (en Suisse) Eric (aka Schmiddy) Hello Christophe Your '68 Riviera is absolutely superb and I congratulate you for having bought it! Me too, I know the situation of owning a car that nobody has in the region or even in the whole country! (I drive myself '65 - but "unfortunately" not a GS) Did you buy it only based on photos or could you drive it before you bought it? In any case a nice Rivi like this will surely make you very happy! Welcome and greetings from the neighborhood of Bern (Switzerland) Eric (aka Schmiddy) Edited March 18, 2018 by Schmiddy (see edit history)
ChristopheNormandy
Christophe "Hello Eric, I thank you. The Riviera of 65 are really beautiful too !! GS or not GS !! It's nice of you to take the time to answer me in French My Riviera brings me a lot of happiness !! Currently, I began to rectify my exhausts (because it makes too much noise!). It's a lot of work !! I also began to change the crankcase gasket without removing the engine but unfortunately it blocks in the flywheel and crosses ... I do not know how to do it ... Remove the engine ?? I also undertook to clean the underside of the Buick but it was blamed. It's really not easy to remove !! Christophe"

Thanks 68RIVGS, Actually the red and white combination suits him perfectly. In addition, it corresponds to its original color! I tried somehow to decrypt the body plate. PLAQUE CARROSSERIE-BUICK.RIVIERA.68.pdf I take maximum advantage, as soon as I have a free moment! Do you have a 1968 Buick Riviera too? A GS? Is it the signature? 68RIVGS
I do have a '68 Riviera Christophe, as in the signature picture, but it is a tribute car (. . . a clone), and not a true GS from the factory. The Fisher body plate will give you some information on the car, but you should also have a copy of the'68 Buick Shop Manual. They are available in hard copy, or CD format, but in English only., and all the information you need to know about your Riviera will be found there ! Next to the car, it is probably the best investment you can make !
