Why am I posting this here?

Because I don't want too many people to know about it (yet) and this is where the AACA Powers That Be should see this.

"We" just finished our work babbitting hinged connecting rods for the above named cars engine, a two cylinder opposed.

I was told by the fella from another machine shop, for whom I did the work, who has the car this is one of three that exist and will be the only operational one.

I mention this to see if the AACA would be interested in pursuing this subject.

I have my doubts as to the owner being a member of anything but I'll  surely find out.

I just spoke with the other mechanic who will ask the owner if he even wishes to be acknowledged........you know how some people are.

The other Craig (mechanic) said it is a restored car but not a lot of provenance.
