Made In Michigan
Now that I have a few mils on my 37 ME-31 I noticed my speedometer is reading much slower than I am going. Any suggestions?

Spinneyhill
If it is anything like mine, it will be die cast. As they age, the zinc corrodes and the casting swells. It squeezes the shaft so it either doesn't turn or turns slowly. It will break the cable next. I suggest you remove the speedo and have a look. Also look at the cable: it might be screwing itself up trying to turn the speedo. Other alternatives include bigger tires and the wrong speedo drive in the gearbox. Fleek
Does it have the size tires that came on the truck? One of the most common causes of the speedometer reading wrong is incorrect tire size. Also if the gears in the rear end have been replaced with other size gears, that can cause the problem.
