Guest Lance Konkle
Wondering if the chassis or frame off a 2 door 56 Buick super is compatiable with 56 roadmaster convertible. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks
JohnD1956
I believe there are different body mounts, which can be reproduced and added to the Supers frame. Check the manuals on the Hometown Buick site. There is a section of the manual that discusses frame dimensions.
Leif Holmberg
I should say they are very close to each other, maybe a few less body mounts on a 2 dr.HT than on a Convertible. Leif in Sweden.
50jetback
Part number is the same for 1956 Super and Roadmaster convertible chassis ( 1170121 ) but different for the 1956 Super and Roadmaster 2 door coupe ( 1169239 ). I believe but cannot confirm there is additional reinforcement to the X frame and side rails on the convertible chassis.
