sherwood3333
getting ready to pull motor and trans, can anyone tell me the best way to do this? I have dog house off the car, thanks
Beemon
Put the intake back on and buy a hoist plate from one of the auto stores (I got mine from AdvancedAuto). Just pick it up with a 1000lb rated hoist and pull it all out. I did one with a 500lb hoist... it's doable, but questionable...
buick man
… yeah good advice as usual from buick kid Ben as that is the smart way to do it … with that said we thinks you should first try and get that ford blue off of the block it may come out easier …

It will prove to be good practice. - Dan
Beemon
Put some cushion under the torque tube at the x-frame so it doesn't come crashing down when the driveline comes out of the torque ball.
Caballero2
Beemon: You are correct. Note the padded floor jack under the engine, and a block of wood over the torque ball so the tranny will not tip if removing the engine without the transmission.
