The Spark (Carb. Rebuild)

I just wanted to give Sparky's Carburetor Service some praise as others have also done on this forum. Due to substandard mechanic work on the 67 California edition quad by a previous "auto-mechanic", it was close to being unrepairable and just about had to be tossed. Sparky turned that nightmare into a golden dream of a four-barrel. Highly recommended of course. You get what you pay for, yet my expectations have even been surpassed.

Some before and after shorts to show the transformation...

And thank you to Darwin and other advisers who mentioned him.

Sure, I am slightly hesitant to breakdown the costs, just because I don't want to quote for Sparky, but to give a ball park figure:

Typically an OEM restoration I believe is about $450. The guy is the best, super busy, yet works efficiently, you just have to be patient.

Here was my specific breakdown. The repair listed took many hours alone and certainly was worth every penny to me to save the original rare carb.:

$425.00   OEM Restoration
$125.00   Inlet Sur-Charge Repair
$  30.00   Return Ship with Insurance
-------------------------------------
$580.00   Total
