Graham Man
I have several early 1930s cars. From time to time I will get one that will overflow the radiator, normally just goes out the overflow tube and on the ground. This stared me thinking is there a way to test the radiator cap to see if it is releasing at the correct pressure? The fluid is low when I let it cool down; normally I just top it off. keiser31
Most early thirties cars had a no pressure cap/cooling system. They would run the first few inches of water out if overfilled. Spinneyhill
If you leave the water 3" below the filler neck you will not get any ejected. My manuals tell me to do this. It expands when it gets hot!
Graham Man
Well that sounds easy, guess I will have to look for something else to fix... Thanks again!
