Malo48
Hello all, What actuates the air duct valve on the firewall (passenger side) - is it a control cable, or a rod of some sort? Mine is missing - I have the intact temperature control panel under the glovebox, and the valve on the firewall, but they are not connected. Grandpa
The air duct valve is operated by a rod.
neil morse
Oh my, I can't get over what your under dash area looks like compared to mine! I had to wear sunglasses to look at the photo. This is helpful to me as well as I apparently am missing the duct and valve on the firewall side. My car has the interior linkage, but the rod just sticking out of a hole in the firewall. Grandpa, since your '41 appears to be in such top shape, could you respond to the thread I posted about the cowl/hood seal? I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! Malo48
Thank you - this is immensely helpful! I see mine is also missing the grommet on the firewall that rod passes through. @neil - I will take photos of the cowl in the next day or two and share with you. Thanks again! kgreen
Wow, that sure was alot of work on Buick's part to translate in/out movement on the dash to rotational movement.
