GasWorksGarage
Hello, does anyone know where I can buy rear shoes drums and a wheel cylinder for a 1946 Lincoln? Thanks in advance!
larry butcher
No one jumped on , so I'll post my 2 cts. worth. Recently I rebuilt the the complete brake system on my '48 LC Coupe. As the parts book states, the same as '46. Are you missing the rear brake shoes on your '46? I had my shoes beadblasted, relined using rivets and "cam ground" to match the drums. I don't know where you can find a "New" or 'NOS" drum. They have to be "miked" to see if there is enough "meat" (metal) to cut down to clean up. If the drums are really bad check with our venders listed on this website . They are out there. All 4 of my wheel cylinders were "shot " from sitting out sde for years. The rear cylinders I used were "Dorman" brand, their #'s are W4803, and W4804. I hope this is some help- Larry

19tom40
You can also try this source. I know that they can reline your shoes and resurface your drums if they are in decent shape.
