Engineco14
Hello, we are restoring a 1923 Stutz Fire Engine with a 6 cylinder Wisconsin T head engine. On the dash, there is a manual reset circuit breaker which is in need of replacement. Anyone out there have any ideas? Thank you Howard Schneider County of Los Angeles Fire Museum
46 woodie
I don't know exactly what your circuit breaker looks like but there are circuit breakers used in airplanes. The brand name is Klixon and can be purchased thru a company called Aircraft Spruce & Specialty. Hope this helps.
Rusty_OToole
More details might help. Make, model number, a few photos. Someone may have a good one. Or it may be possible to repair the old one. Many things of that era were made to be repaired rather than replaced especially on an expensive piece of equipment that was meant to last a long time. Restorer32
Or simply bypass it and hide a functional breaker under the dash somewhere.
Engineco14
Thank you Gentlemen. I will post some pictures of it when I return home. I do have pieces for one which may be repaired by someone good at that sort of thing.
