TexRiv_63
We found some old photos of my wife's great uncle Herman. He was a car guy back to the 1900s so there are some cars in his photos that I would like to identify. Quite a shift here to a streamlined Silver Streak Pontiac. If you haven't figured it out yet, Herman loved to have his picture taken! The pictures are marked 1942 and 1943, what year and model is the car? TexRiv_63
Thanks! Was the model name actually Streamliner Torpedo?
Landman
I might be wrong but I thought the Streamliner was the fastback and the Torpedo was the notchback.
Guest
1941 Pontiacs were part of the "Torpedo Fleet" The notchbacks were "Custom Torpedo" and the fastbacks were "Streamliner Torpedo". Each followed of course by what they were ( ie: Four-Door Sedan, Four-Door Touring Sedan, Sedan Coupe etc). The new for 41 Deluxe series were on the G. M. "A" body. The Streamliner Torpedo was on the G. M. "B" body and the Custom Torpedo was on the G. M. "C" body.
